I’ve been away from here for some time. My last post was on August 7, 2020 (you can check here), but the reason was that I left my last job (Software Developer at Atos6) and got a new one as Software Developer at Grafeno Digital.
At my last job, I learned countless things, including the startup pace. Some of the things I’ve learned are:
- React;
- Decoupled frontends;
- Increasing CSV export performance;
- Optimization of queries;
- Automating whitelabel apps built in React Native through Fastlane inside CI;
- A bit of DevOps;
- GraphQL;
- More about REST APIs;
- Scaling applications;
- Among other things;
I want to write about the things I’ve learned over the next couple of months. I’ve acquired solid knowledge around understanding customer needs, maintaining a large legacy codebase, designing paths to decouple some parts, and converting services into microservices.
Many posts should arrive here about the frustrations, refactorings, failures, and victories I had there.
This move was one of many out there to leave the comfort zone, find new challenges, and improve ourselves. For me, it’s the same, because it feels natural as a software developer to challenge the knowledge acquired and pursue new jobs and new mindsets, to improve or apply the things I’ve learned before.
I’m so grateful for every piece of knowledge and especially for all the devs I worked with and helped, sharing and absorbing knowledge together.
